Time and Space Project
Stage 1 Project Description:
I built a slideshow that was interactive and informative so I could show the things I learned in this project. I made a presentation because it is something I was good at before. I feel it came out well but could have been better, as with all things in life.
I didn't Have pride in this project, so I built a new one, A cube of perspective. while you turn the cube, you change your perspective.
An existential crisis is a moment at which an individual questions the very foundations of their life: whether this life has any meaning, purpose, or value. This issue of the meaning and purpose of existence is the topic of the philosophical school of existentialism.
This happened a few times :D
Artist Statement:For this project We studied time and space and how they interact and relate to each other.
I wanted to show how the 5 Dimensions from 0 to 4 relate to each other. I also wanted to have a kind of Interactive work. I decided to use a cube because I had an idea and thought of ways to use it to make a good piece. I decided on a more interactive and artistic presentation, rather than a presentation where you just read words on a page. I used the pictures I did to help create understanding and help people understand better what the words were saying. I decided to do a perspective cube because I couldn't find anything to do that used more art than words. Because of this, I went to make an interactive cube, instead of the regular still page. I also tried to add some color and contrast so the cube wouldn't be bland or seem rushed. It may not be long, but I think it covers everything I wanted to express in this project. Often the cube art was hard to make and create beautiful work with. But I am glad I overcame the challenges and made work I can present well.
Stage 1 Project Reflection:
Reading Slaughterhouse 5 and Flatland was Somewhat Taxing because I am a very fast reader and finished both books the day they were assigned. I still had to re-read a lot and answer questions which got somewhat repetitive and hard to connect to. My understanding of the concepts brought up two books got challenged because of a magical thing called Philosophy, Philosophy makes everything either clearer, deeper, more confusing, or even lighter in some cases. Short story even shorter, I connected Berkeley's Theory of Percepted Reality to flatland, connecting god to the 4th Dimension.
I originally was in a group that was simply making drawings that explained individual parts of the dimensions. The group disbanded for reasons unknown to me, but it was OK. I have definitely made better projects, but I have made worse. I wanted to make an interactive art piece that moved, so I settled on the slide show. I knew how to make a Google Slides presentation and add animations to it, So that's what I did. But since I wasn't proud of It. I made a perspective cube.
I Am Not sure Whats going to happen in stage 2, but if it's going to be like stage 1, I think i'm ready and feel like I'll do great.

Stage 2-3 Reflection
The second stage of the time and space project involved a "Narrative Exhibition" We built walls and made a story told through the environment. It was really cool to see some peoples reactions. It was definitely the largest exhibition I have ever worked on. It was hard but rewarding. I couldn't really walk through due to other responsibilities. But I loved the look through I had. The ambiance was awesome, Such a great exhibition.
I was a builder. My job was to do most of the physical work. This included (but was not limited to) building the walls, carrying wood, and painting. we took about 2 or 3 weeks to finish building everything and start setting up. I am very pleased how it came out.
Meow Wolf was awesome, it was a real shame that I nearly collapsed from how sick I was during our trip there. It really gave our class a good idea of what we should try to make our exhibition. How everything should be connected, no matter how subtle. And it didn't have to make sense, as long as the story was there. It also inspired us. I can say with confidence that the exhibition wouldn't have been as good without our trip.
I really loved the way everything turned out. Over the last month before the exhibition, I learned a lot about teamwork and brainstorming, and how to use it effectively. It also helped me figure out how to use teamwork skills that I already had more effectively. It was a real benefit to me to be a builder. In builder we had to coordinate a lot. making this a great skill builder for me.
I feel like I did my best in this project because none of the other projects required me to put as much effort as I did into them. I learned a lot about teamwork during this project, It was a really great way of learning teamwork too. During this project I was a builder, which meant I was building everything and carrying everything, It was a lot of hard work but it was definitely worth the effort.
This project showed me more of what project based learning can be. It also showed me the reason why I came to Animas. I am glad I got to see that aspect again. It also helped show me what i'm capable of when I put my mind to some thing. I really want to do more projects like this one. It was good for me.
