Documentary project
Me and my Partner Brandon Biddle, decided to make our project on fracking, we decided to make animations to explain what fracking is and how it works. Some helpful things for us were the ability to change classes to work with each other during class. we worked together with Brandon building the animations and video while I did the script and narrations. The documentary project was difficult but ultimately was interesting and challenging. The project was a good project to present because it is easy and effective to exhibit to the community.
What I learned about art.
1. How is art used in everyday life?
Art is used in everyday life due to the fact that art can be anything, if somebody created something, that can arguably be called art. Whenever I do anything, I try to make it as beautiful as possible, and I call all that I make that is beautiful, art.
2. How and why is art used as a vehicle for communication?
Take the artist Banksy, he makes pieces that display a deeper meaning of a picture, like a man who looks like he is about to lob a grenade, is holding a bouquet of flowers. Art is used extensively in advertising to display or call attention to a product.
3. Why do Artists Produce Preliminary Plans? (sketches, brainstorms, storyboards, etc?)
I feel that artists make sketches or other types of plans to do just that, plan. If an artist has an idea of what they want to do, then have a sketch to help them make their final piece. and so they have a record of growth.

Make your own art project
In this project we designed and made our own art project, here is my process and artist statement for that project.
My art piece is four prints that form my face when put together that I colored myself.
I had recently made some colored pencil coloring sheets after PARCC, that turned out pretty good. So I decided to make a larger picture. My first step was to get a picture of me that was current. With some help I got a picture of myself, and then downloaded it onto my computer. I took it into photoshop and scaled it up 400% or four times its original size. Then I made it black and white and printed it. I colored it and looked at the results, I was only happy with 2 of the Four corners. So I reprinted the 2 I needed to redo. I looked at books and tutorials on shading self portraits and remade the 2 pieces. I am now fully satisfied with the results.

At first my plan was to just mount the pictures next to each other, But Ms. Roxy helped me specifically to frame my work. It didn't look very good when made to look like a face, so I scrambled them. I am now fully satisfied with the results.
