3 Reasons to celebrate
I overcame challenges I wasn’t sure about by asking for help. For example, in Trigonometry, I didn't understand how to do Trig. at all. So to fix this I sat down with Ms. Aliza and she helped me learn how to do it and now I completely understand Trig., like how now I can find a missing side given 1 angle and the lengths of any other side.
Another celebration I have this semester is that I made a good piece of art. At mountain we did the same thing over and over in art, and I didn’t learn anything, except that I wasn’t good at art. But now that I’m in a class where I learn how to do art, I can do it well. I felt good after doing it and It was a cool thing I had never done before. My third celebration is that I got a better relationship with my teachers. I learned to talk with and ask my teachers when I didn’t get something. Like my Trig. or even the portfolio for Humanities, I wouldn't even have known where to start. This helped me to understand more and do better on assignments.
2 Things to work on
I need to work on listening and presenting. I have a hard time staying on topic and paying attention, like when i go off topic in class and watch a video instead of work on the assignment.
Specifically my journals, I didn’t do hardly any this year. so I think I need to work on that.
I also need to work on organization. I have missed events, like the final art exhibition, gotten lower grades and forgotten things, like journals and assignments that I didn’t do or turn in because I got distracted and forgot about them. This has happened very often in the past because I get distracted and forget things very easily. I really need to get this down so I don’t forget important tasks or events in the future
1 Big question to ponder
I wonder what else I can do when I choose to do my best. I often choose to not put in all of my effort and don’t put in enough effort, I need to learn how to do this as it will not end well if I don’t.
